GENERAL BELIEFS
All students have the right and responsibility to learn.
Our school can improve and make a difference in promoting excellence for all children.
Every person is important in the educational environment of our school community.
COMMUNICATION
We will communicate regularly with families in person and through Sangha. Specifically, we will:
HOME VISITS
Our ambitious goal: Every student's home will be visited by a member of the Phillips team by the end of April. Our conversations with families will be around hopes and dreams and we will be learners during our visits. We recognize that parents and kids are the experts in their own lives.

POWERSCHOOL PARENT PORTAL CAFE
At Phillips, we believe that sharing information with parents strengthens our partnership and improves each student’s learning experience. Parents can access real-time education information via the Phillips Learning Commons. There is a designated area that allows parents to access to their child’s school information using school-based resources.
EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES
We welcome families at Phillips, and we will provide a variety of opportunities for families and community supporters to come to the school, and for the school to come to them! This year, we will maintain visibility in the community through a variety of avenues.
Our goal is to cultivate a true Community School: a place in which every community institutions have a stake; a place where students and parents know teachers and administrators as active parts of a larger community; a place where students feel safe, supported, and where their actions are monitored not only by staff but by their neighbors.
