Designate a space for posting the following daily:
CHALKBOARD DOORS
To start, all doors must have the following:
After, teachers are encouraged to be creative with their doors! Celebrate students, allow them to share their favorite inspirational quotes, ask students to draw pictures that connect to a lesson - have fun with it! Classroom chalkboard doors must be updated every week (Friday PM or Monday AM).
Please remember that our students are still kids and may act as such. Keep a watchful eye on all doors to ensure that only appropriate messages and symbols are on our doors. If they brush up against a door, please clean it up as quickly as possible.

- Standard (especially if we are trying to help students understand the standards themselves)
- Essential Questions
- Daily Agenda

- Develop a student work wall & highlight the strengths of student work so others might learn from it.
- Classroom expectations and consequence hierarchies must be posted.
- The space should be clean, inviting and one in which students WANT to be!
- Organization MATTERS. Have a place for everything and everything in its place.
- To make your space extra special, add a bit of your flavor to the walls. Make and put up posters with sentence stems ("Speak like a thinker"), question stems ("Question like a thinker"), growth mindset materials, important concepts students will explore, a space for missed work, and more!
HALLWAYS
- All bulletin boards should be covered before Open House. Please see the 2019-2020 BULLETIN BOARD SCHEDULE here
- Each content area is responsible for updating bulletin boards at a minimum of every 9 weeks on their halls.
- All student work in hallway and classrooms should be current (no more than 3 weeks old).
